Dear Friend of SWELL,
Each year, students step into the Scandia Woods Environmental Learning Lab (SWELL) and discover a world far beyond the traditional classroom. They explore our lake, forest, wetland, and prairie ecosystems; study water samples, rocks, and animal tracks; and learn from our butterfly, geologic, and taxidermy collections. A visit to our historic log cabin even offers a glimpse into pioneer life in the 1800s.
SWELL is more than a place—it’s an immersive experience that sparks curiosity, encourages observation, and builds lasting connections with nature. This work is only possible with support from people like you. Your contribution helps us:
